So I’m still in Bromont but I just wanted to give a quick update on what’s going on over here. I will give a more thorough update once I get home.

On July 7th I will be in Ridge Meadows teaching a camp from 10-3. The cost is 55$ per rider. On July 8th I will be in Penticton doing a camp that will also run from 10-3 and cost 55$. There is a good possibility that I will be in Vernon on July 6th, I’ll find out shortly.

Before I get going tomorrow I have one more thing to let you know about. I set up a date with the good people of Penticton BMX. I have not done a camp at their track yet so I am really looking forward to it. This camp will run from 10 am to 3 pm on Sunday July 8th for a cost of $55 per rider. Aaron will be with me for the weekend road trip into BC. I am looking to do a camp on Friday night and Saturday somewhere in BC so if your track wants me to come please give me a shout!
There’s not too much going on today, I am just trying to get some work done. Since I do coaching 4 nights a week and then the weekend stuff, I don’t have too much time these days to sit in front of my computer. I have a list of emails to get too and a few of my clients are of waiting for their stuff as well. So today is dedicated to catching up!

Last weekend I was in Red Deer for their provincial race that they put on. The weekend was awesome, well until it got cancelled due to rain on Sunday. However the rest of the weekend was really good, I was set up with a Rockstar tent selling t-shirts and giving away stickers. It was a really fun and relaxing weekend as I decided not to race and enjoy being a spectator. In the Elite men group, Scrumptious won with Lepp in two and Banks rounding out the 3. Thank you too all the Red Deer people like the Pratts and everyone else for making my weekend great.
T-shirts sold really well and I will be doing more t-shirts and other articles of clothing as the year goes on. I picked up a new sponsor, New Era Hats. They are going to do a run of hats for me with the CampCools logo on it. I’m really pumped about that. At the next race I will have more stickers, t-shirts and also will have the posters I wanted to have last weekend.
Anyway I am on my way out to Okotoks for training.
Well it’s been a few days since my last post so Autum here is something for you to read today.
First off, I want to wish Jenn a Happy B-day, which was a few days ago now. Grandma and Grandma took Avrianna for a night and the two of us spent the evening in Banff, which is nestled in the Rock Mountains and a very beautiful place.
Last weekend we did a camp in Stony Plain and had a great time. The weather was good on Saturday and we had a turnout of 60 kids for the camp. The camp went awesome and the kids and us trainers had a great time. On Sunday the track was under a lake of water and we could not do the camp. Its never good when we get rained out but it was my first Fathers Day so I did get to spend the rest of the day with my family, so it turned out good. Thank you too all the Stony Plain people for making the camp such a great experience.
I will be doing a make-up day in Stony Plain on Friday July 13!!! The following Sat/Sun we will be doing a two day in St. Albert. We love going to Northern Alberta so these three days are going to be a blast. If you did not attend the original Stony Plain camp you can take the make up day if you would like. If you are doing the St. Albert camp you could get in 3 days of training to get you the top form for the rest of the summer.
This weekend is the Provincial in Red Deer, Alberta. I don’t know if I will be racing this weekend. I can really race for the win so I don’t know if I am willing to put myself through all that pain again. I will be doing a camp on Saturday. It will run about 30 minutes after the last motto and run for about 3 hours for a cost of $35 per rider. This will be a great way to get the track dialed in for the Provincial. These camps are usually really popular so I will have enough trainers on hand to split the group into 2.
I will have a ROCKSTAR tent set up this weekend at the track. I will have some posters that I am going to give away, so if it all works out there will be an autograph signing session with all the Elites on both days.

Last weekend one of the kids I train, 9X Christopher Blevins from Colorado crashed really hard in Rockford. He fractured his skull and lost hearing in one ear. This kid is an awesome person and an amazing BMX racer. Check out his crash via vintage.com. Go down to the 9x main. “Blevins Crash” Parents please think about getting your kids a DOT approve helmet. This is a rare thing to happen and I wish Christopher a speedy recovery, Jenn and I both are really upset and thinking about you!!
My new website is finally done and I think it looks awesome. We are just finishing the final details and will put it online in the next few days. Here is a picture of me teaching the Cochrane club last week, look at the mountains in the background. Hate the snow but I love Canada!!

There are still spots open for this weekend camp in Stony Plain. As always if you want to join the camp then all you need to do is be there at around 9:45 am to sign up. I will not turn anyone away and this camp is for ALL skills and AGES! For this weekend I hear there will be a few kids out. I will be splitting the group into two so that the kids get lots of riding. All these kids have grown up doing camps and all are in the top spots in Canada in their respective age groups. The weather is suppose to be good on Saturday so we will make this thing work no matter what mother nature throws at us.
As some of you may have heard I have a new website. It’s just getting the finishing touches and may even be online by the time I leave this weekend; however next week is probably more like it.
Today is Avrianna’s 9-month birthday so here is a picture from a session we had professionally done.
Tonight will be first night of coaching in Cochrane, now all 5 tracks are going thru the week. Aaron will be in Calgary coaching the program that I have outlined and gotten ready for the kids. It looks good outside right now but you never know what the evening will bring.
For those of you who think that my back looks that way because I crashed then you are unfortunately wrong. When I ride my back hurts so bad that it starts to spasm and then lock-up. I have to go to my chiropractor that takes a dull butter knife boomerang looking thing and aggressively rubs it up and down my back. By doing this he breaks up all the scar tissue in my muscles so that it will loosen up and eventually feel better. It takes a while to do the whole back and it is a really pain full process, the result being a huge bruise like looking back.
It’s enough from me not to ride but I just could not help it, especially with all that money up for grabs. Word on the street is that Red Deer has also got someone to step to the plate and put in $2500 for there provincial in a couple of weeks. I may just have to see what I can do again. With a steep starting hill I may be able to get my engine going faster so I can make some things happen. Only time will tell.
Attention: If you are going to the Canadian Championships in Bromont, I need some help. My sister is flying in to Montreal Friday morning and needs a ride from the airport to Bromont. If you are flying in at this time and have a spot in your car please contact Sam at Sam needs Help!!!.
