Hey guys, just a quick note. Next weekend May 10/11 Aaron will be putting on a Pre-National Championships camp on in Abbostford BC. The camp will run Saturday 10-4:00 and Sunday 9:00 to 1:30 for a cost of $125 per rider. This camp will be open for all riders and all skills and will be a great chance to get tuned up for the big race the following weekend. Aaron has been my right hand man for the past 5 years and has learned a great deal from me and I am very confident that he will put on a termendous camp for you and your kids.
He will have Jesse Hormopoly, Lenny Kilgour, Sam Leuck and a few others that I will post up here in the next few days.
If you want to be the next Canadian Champion this program is designed to help you acheive it. Feel free to email me with questions but remeber, I will not be attending this camp as I am currently in Switzerland.

Tim, who was like a son to me, died tragically 2 years ago while building a BMX race track for the youth of our community. Now the Niagara Escarpment Commission wants to flatten his dream - the Tim DaSilva BMX Race Track. I normally would not appeal to those outside of our province, but as this is going to hit the media on Tues or Wed and could potentially go National due to the Olympics, I want to appeal for your help.

Many of the ‘older’ riders that browse this forum will remember Tim as a good kid, with a great smile who just loved to ride his bike. How much more can his family take? Last year we had to ‘cease all activities’ while the NEC made stupid decisions, and now they have the stupidest decision of all - they told us we have to flatten the track in 60 days or the landowner will face huge fines.
PLEASE, this is so important to Tim, his family, and the BMX Community.

My adventure to travel here was awful. I was stuck between two older people in a smaller plane and had no room. On top of that the guy next to me was at least 75 and had his arm on my side the whole time. At one point I tried to shove his arm onto his side as I need my own space, and this guy elbowed me in the chest. WTF!!!! I couldn’t believe it, but what was I going to do to this guy, punch him. I ended up not being able to sleep for the whole 12-hour flight. By the time I had gotten here I was traveling for a good day and a half with no sleep, I was exhausted. As soon as I met up with my team though it was all good, it’s been fun to catch up with everyone and to get pumped up for our training block over the next 9 days.
Up until this morning it’s rained the whole time I have been here but it’s so pretty I don’t care. Besides not being able to ride the track yesterday, which was a bummer, we got to do gate practice inside. The UCI center is in a league of its own with many top cyclists from all over the world training here. Other than the permanent residence, like my sister, there are no other BMXer here right now so its kind of nice on that level.
This morning we did gates (inside) and then we are on the track this afternoon if the track dries out. Its been nice to hangout with my sister for a few days but tomorrow her and her crew are heading up to Germany for the European Championships, which have 1800 entries!

Today I talked to Yolande from Langley BMX and set up a camp for the week of Wednesday June 4th to Friday June 6th. It will be a 3-day evening camp that will run from 5:00pm to 9:00pm each night. I have updated my “events” tab and have all the camps that we will be doing, so far. There are still a few open dates that I have in the next few months if any track would like them, just email or give me a shout.
Since I will be out of the country for most of this summer, I will not be able to make all the camps. Tracks that I have set up dates with are all aware of this and you can check on the events page for a list of trainers. I will set up night camps during the week for the times that I am in the country, as I want to be at as many as I can. However, Aaron Lepp will be the head trainer for all the ones I am not apart of. He has been my right hand man for the past 5 years and does a tremendous job with the kids, and has crazy skills on a bike to boot.
On Sunday I am flying out to Agile Switzerland to the UCI World Cycling Center. I will be there with Marc and Sarah for about 10 days of intense training on the big track. It will be the first time I get to have such a great training session with both of them so I am pretty excited to see what we can do! After our stay in Agile we will be headed up to Copenhagen Denmark for the next UCI Super Cross race. When I am on the road I will try my best to update the site with our training and pictures of the center, and then from the race.
If you are living out in Ontario there are a few camps coming up. I will be in Kingston on the weekend of May 17/18.

If you know me personally than you know that I just might be one of the only Canadian who thinks Hockey is not all that it’s cracked out to be. Shooting around a hard piece of rubber on a frozen pond? Come-on! I’d rather be playing basketball inside with a pair of shorts, or just watching the NBA playoffs.
However, last night I did watch the 7th and final game for the Flames as everyone I know was watching it. At first I thought that they were going to win, and so I jumped on the wagon and became a fan. But then the got whooped in like 7 minutes and the game was over. I know one person who will be enjoying the Flames early golf season and that’s Cameron Helm from Okotoks. Cam’s one of my trainers and is the biggest Pittsburg Penguin fan you will ever meet. His mom even got him Sidney Crosby boxer shorts for Christmas, just loves the guy! Ha-ha.
Today Jenn and I got tattoos, never ending! We both got one of Avriannas footprints on our calves. Here is a picture of them both.

The person who posted on go211 came forth with a public apology and I appreciate it, as I know sometimes we all have moments that are fueled by emotion and not reason. For future reference to everyone who does camps, it’s always a good idea to contact the person running the camp for information. I know that Burlin and his head trainer Karl Clarke do a great job and I think Karl is a fantastic guy and is terrific for your kids. His job should not be overshadowed by those who are not there.
On the lighter side of things, I have been setting up a few more camps over the past 2 days, as any press seems to be good press. I forgot how to update my schedule tab but will find out in the next few days and update it when I get that info.
Over the winter when I was doing my camps in Abby, I had the pleasure of having Lenny K help me out. He has agreed to help me out with most of my BC camps this year and will be one of my main trainers. Lenny has been on the BMX scene for a number of years and to date has the biggest boobs in Canadian BMX, not bad for a dude!!
